Dr.Charlotte Rayner trained in General and Respiratory Medicine at Charing Cross Hospital, the Royal Brompton Hospital and St.George’s Hospital London. She is the Lead Clinician for Respiratory Medicine at St.George’s Hospital and is Director of Training for General Medicine both at St.George’s and in the South West Thames Region. In addition, she is Lead Clinician in South West Thames for both Lung Cancer and for Tuberculosis.
At St.George’s she has established a specialist service in aspects of Respiratory medicine including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, sarcoidosis, sleep disorders and tuberculosis, bronchoscopy and endobronchial therapy. Working with the Department of Paediatrics, she also has an interest in adolescent respiratory problems including asthma and allergy. Her research interests cover aspects of infection and the lung including bronchiectasis, chronic obstructive airways disease and tuberculosis. In addition she has undertaken studies in sleep medicine, asthma, sarcoidosis, interstitial lung diseases and cough. She is happy to see patients with any acute or chronic respiratory or medical disorders.
