Mr Paul A Harris BSc MD FRCS(plast) Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at The Royal Marsden Hospital.
Aesthetic surgery including facial rejuvenation, breast surgery, body contouring, and liposuction. My main reconstructive interests are Breast and Head & Neck Surgery, although I also specialise in all areas of reconstruction following cancer excision.
I graduated from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1991 to embark upon my surgical career. After four years of training in general surgery at a number of London teaching hospitals, I became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS). Having completed my general surgery I undertook eight years of training in Plastic Surgery in London as well as periods spent at specialist centres in Australia and Belgium. In 2002, I gained the Specialist fellowship in Plastic Surgery (FRCS Plast) and was entered on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery in 2004.
In 1999 I was awarded the higher post graduate degree of Doctorate in Medicine (MD) having spent two years at the University of London developing a laboratory produced artificial skin replacement for burn victims. This research was sponsored by The Royal College of Surgeons of England. I have published my work comprehensively within the Plastic Surgery literature throughout my career and presented nationally and internationally at Plastic Surgery conferences. I am actively involved in teaching both at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Following the completion of my surgical training in England I was awarded a travelling fellowship by the British Association of Plastic Surgeons and spent six months in Melbourne studying with one of the World’s leading authorities in Aesthetic Surgery. My main interests are facial rejuvenation, breast surgery, body contouring, and liposuction.
I am currently a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London where I specialise in reconstructive surgery following ablative cancer excision. I am a member of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons (BAPS).
