Dr. Shanthi Paramothayan has a degree in Medical Biochemistry and a PhD from the University of Cambridge. Her undergraduate medical training was undertaken at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, University of London and she trained in Respiratory and General Medicine in several London hospitals, including St. George’s Hospital and The Royal Brompton Hospital where she received training in Sleep Medicine and Interstitial Lung Disorders including Sarcoidosis. She has published several Cochrane Meta-analyses on sarcoidosis and pulmonary hypertension (Cochrane Library: www.cochrane.co.uk).
She is currently working at St. Helier University Hospital and deals with all General Respiratory problems. She has particular interests and expertise in the management of patients with asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchiectasis, sarcoidosis, interstitial lung disorders and obstructive sleep apnoea.
