Interests: General Gastroenterology, acute and chronic liver and pancreatic disease. Reflux and functional bowel disease. Therapeutic upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.
My present post is based at St. George’s Hospital, London where I am involved in the Departments of Gastroenterology and Intensive Care Medicine. My post includes out-patient clinics, care of in-patients, teaching and also performing endoscopic procedures (endoscopy, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy) at the National Endoscopy Training Centre based at St. George’s Hospital.
With regards to my previous training, I completed my PhD in liver disease at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School, Hammersmith Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital. My further specialist training was based at St. Thomas’ London, where I was involved in new and innovative treatments of complex Barrett’s oesophagus and reflux disease, Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis and functional bowel disease.
I am able to offer investigations and management for oesophageal, gastric, colonic and liver cancers. I have particular expertise in the management of acute and chronic liver diseases, pancreatic disease, irritable bowel syndrome and other functional bowel disorders.
My interests in endoscopy are both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy of the upper and lower gastro-intestinal tract. This includes most modalities of dilatation, stent insertion, variceal banding, photo-coagulation and laser therapy.
