St Anthony’s Hospital is a leading independent hospital with 93 beds providing acute medical services and offering high quality clinical care. The hospital is fully accredited with the Investors In People.
Due to the opening of the Hospital's new Outpatient clinic services in Raynes Park, the pathology department is seeking a new Medical Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist to cover the required hours of work. Duties will include taking blood samples, the measurement of resting ECGs, sample reception and computer data entry. The clinic will be open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays. The new post will be full-time 37.5 hours per week.
The successful candidate will be expected to work various shifts on both the Raynes Park site and the main Hospital site. Details of the working pattern can be discussed at the interview or before with the Pathology Manager. Previous experience of phlebotomy is essential and training will be offered to suitable candidates for ECGs and data entry. Successful candidates will need to be of a cheerful and outgoing disposition with a strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

A part time position averaging 17.5 hours per week has arisen in our busy Bookings Department – an area that brings you into close contact with consultants, nurses, secretaries and the patients.
The post holder will cover three shifts per week 1600 hours – 2000 hours plus one day 0900 hours – 1600 hours on three weeks out of four. In addition he/she will be required to provide further holiday cover, sometimes at short notice.
