Mr. Stephen Gordon BSc, MBBS, FRCS (Urol)
Mr. Gordon was born and grew up locally before training initially at St.Bartholomew’s Hospital and then specialising in Urology throughout the South East of England gaining wide experience of all urological conditions and treatments.
He undertook a fellowship in the treatment of kidney stones at Guys & St.Thomas’ Hospital and has extensive experience and is able to offer all forms of treatment for urinary stone disease including holmium laser treatment, shock wave lithotripsy and keyhole surgery for larger kidney stones.
Mr Gordon has a keen interest in the use of lasers for treating urological conditions and was one of the first urologists in the UK to use the Greenlight laser for treating BPH.

Pieter le Roux is consultant urological surgeon and lead clinician for urology at Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust. He joined the trust in 2002 where he set up a laparoscopic urology unit that is now performing all the renal laparoscopy for Epsom, St Helier and Kingston hospitals. His training in laparoscopic urology included attachments with Indirber Gill in Cleveland and Chris Eden in Basingstoke. His other clinical interests include oncology, reconstructive surgery and surgery for benign prostate disease. Mr Le Roux introduced the Green light laser prostatectomy (PVP) at Epsom and St Helier and more recently at St Anthony’s hospital.
Mr Le Roux studied medicine at Stellenbosch University in South Africa. He completed his basic surgical training in the UK, obtaining the FRCS in London in 1996. He trained in Urology at Groote Schuur Hospital and the University of Cape Town and was appointed consultant urologist and senior lecturer to Tygerberg Hospital and Stellenbosch University Medical School in 2000.
Mr Le Roux’s research towards his Master’s degree involved the use of collagen matrix grafts in endoscopic urethral reconstruction. He is a senior lecturer at St George’s hospital medical school and an examiner in the final MBBS. He lectures regularly on laparoscopic training courses in the UK, Europe and South Africa.
In 2002 the South African Urological Association awarded Mr Le Roux with the Storz prize, a traveling fellowship awarded once every two years to the outstanding young urologist in South Africa.

Mr Watkin trained in medicine at Cambridge and Oxford Universities before specialising in Urology. He became a Master of Surgery at Cambridge in 1998 and subsequently trained in South Africa, specialising in reconstructive surgery and oncology. He provides a tertiary referral practice at St George's Hospital for penile and urethral disorders with an acive research programme into penile skin conditions, including penile cancer.
He is Lead Clinician at St Helier Hospital.
He also has an interest in stone disease and manages the Regional Lithotripsy Service at Sutton Hospital.
