Intensive Care Staff Nurses
Permanent, Part-time and Bank Nurses
Vacancies exist in Intensive Care for dedicated and enthusiastic Staff Nurses. The unit comprises of 8 Level 3 and Level 2 beds specialising in cardiac surgery, general surgery and medical specialities.
- Minimum Requirements:
- 1st Level Registration
- ENB 100 or equivalent, but not essential
- Ideally, minimum of 1 year Intensive care experience
- Mentorship qualification or equivalent
- Good communication skills and the ability to work flexibly as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current IV certificate
- Proven record of clinical and professional expertise

A vacancy has arisen for a Cardiac Catheter Laboratory Manager.
The Unit comprises of a Cardiac Catheter Laboratory and an Invasive Radiology Laboratory.
- Minimum Qualifications:
- 1st Level Registration
- 3 years experience as a Senior staff nurse in the above setting or Cardiac Catheter Laboratory environment
- Excellent interpersonal, managerial and organisational skills
- ILS certificate
- A mentorship qualification or equivalent
- A flexible and professional approach to meeting the needs of the department and its users
- A current IV certificate
This post is full time (37.5 hours) the core hours being 08.00 to 16.00 hours, Monday to Friday, but flexibility is essential.
An on-call commitment for out of hours work is mandatory.

Staff Nurse Rotational Posts (Hours: Full Time)
Fixed Term Contract for 18 months
St Anthony’s Hospital has planned a number posts to provide an opportunity for gaining experience and developing knowledge and skills to work across a variety of settings. Working closely with the multi-disciplinary health care team you will work with patients to help them achieve their full potential. You will be a recently qualified and Registered 1st Level (Adult) Nurse with good inter-personal, communication and clinical skills. You will be committed to developing your knowledge and skills in a range of settings, be flexible to the demands of the role in each setting, and have the ability to use your own initiative.
The rotation includes shift work and internal rotation between days and nights. St Anthony’s Hospital will provide you with an excellent development programme, which includes a 6-month preceptorship programme and study days targeted to meet your personal and professional development needs.
The hospital provides inpatient and outpatient service for patients. Areas of clinical experience will include Medical/Surgical conditions, Cardiothoracics, ITU/HDU Theatre/Recovery and OPD. There are four wards providing 24-hour care for adults.

Staff Nurse – Cardiac Catheter Lab / DSA
A vacancy has arisen for a Staff Nurse with some cardiology experience. A knowledge of cardiac nursing would be beneficial, but not necessary.
- Duties include:
- Assisting the Cardiologists/Radiologists during procedures
- Circulating for the procedures
- Stocking and ordering consumables
Applicants will require an IV certificate. If you do not have one this will be arranged.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team is essential. All training will be given in-house.
This post is full-time (37.5 hours), the core hours being 08.00 hrs -16.00 hrs - Monday to Friday - flexibility is essential.
Once fully trained an on-call commitment is mandatory.
