Cardiac Health Screen

Two new cardiac screens have been added to the range of health screening services available at St Anthony's. This highly affordable service helps to diagnose underlying heart problems which can affect anyone, at any time of life.

Cardiac Health Screen: £120

  • Resting ECG
  • Health & Lifestyle Questionnaire
  • Blood Pressure
  • Height/Weight measurements (BMI)
  • Total Cholesterol + HDL test (blood test)
  • Consultant's report & risk assessment
  • Consultant health & lifestyle advice

Cardiac Health Screen Plus: £145

  • Resting ECG
  • Health & Lifestyle Questionnaire
  • Blood Pressure
  • Height/Weight measurements (BMI)
  • Full Fasting Lipids test (blood test)
  • Glucose test
  • Consultant's report & risk assessment
  • Consultant health & lifestyle advice

Please note that Cardiac Health Screen Plus includes fasting lipids and glucose tests and will require a fasting time of 12 hours prior to the screen.

The cardiac screen is designed for:

  1. Those in high risk categories, including those who are overweight, smoke, have a family history of cardiac related illness, or have conditions such as diabetes which increase the likelihood of coronary heart disease.
  2. Those who exercise heavily or are about to drastically increase their rate of exercise. Whilst exercise is generally beneficial, it can aggravate previously undiagnosed heart defects, which may remain symptomless until they result in a sudden cardiac arrest.
  3. Anybody concerned about their current or future state of cardiac health, and those looking for advice on how to improve their overall health and avoid coronary heart disease in later life.

The Cardiac Screens are available Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am and 4pm.
